QPR boss Mark Hughes believes that his side should have been awarded a "stonewall penalty" during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Everton.

Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has claimed that his side should have had a "stonewall penalty" during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Everton.

Seamus Coleman looked to have tripped Junior Hoilett with 10 minutes left to play at Loftus Road, but referee Jon Moss waved away the appeals.

However, replays showed that the defender got some of the ball as the match ended all square.

"We had a stonewall penalty that was ruled out. When the referee sees it he will wonder why he hasn't given it. That hurt us," said Hughes.

"It's a good point today, that gives us confidence to go on and build from here."

Rangers, who remain bottom of the Premier League table, are still without a win from their first eight games of the season.
