Chris Ramsey: 'Many will be extremely disappointed with Queens Park Rangers performance'

QPR manager Chris Ramsey believes that "lots of people at the club" will be "extremely disappointed" with the 6-0 defeat at Man City which confirmed their relegation.

Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey has criticised his players for succumbing to a humbling 6-0 defeat away at Manchester City which confirmed their relegation from the Premier League.

The hosts were dominant in the first half as goals from Sergio Aguero and Aleksandar Kolarov put them in firm control of the match at the Etihad Stadium.

Aguero then scored twice more after the break to seal his treble, while James Milner and David Silva also got on the scoresheet to condemn QPR to the Championship just a year after promotion.

Ramsey told Sky Sports News: "We came here with a lot of hope, shot ourselves in the foot and gave away three set-pieces which they scored from. We really feel sorry for the travelling fans.

"As you can imagine the dressing room is very, very quiet. I don't think it's a time for post mortems, our fate is what it is.

"The club is in a rebuilding phase now and would have been anyway regardless of today. There are lots of people at the club who will be extremely disappointed in the way we conducted ourselves today."

QPR's next game will be at home against Newcastle United on May 16.
