Scottish League One roundup: Rangers hit eight to stay top

Rangers stay top after 8-0 win over Stenhousemuir.

Rangers secured a dominant 8-0 win over Stenhousemuir at Ibrox on Saturday, with Jon Daly scoring four goals for the hosts.

Ally McCoist's side remain at the top of the table, although nearest rivals Dunfermline were also involved in a goalfest in their 5-1 win over Ayr United.

Ryan Wallace scored a brace to keep his side in the top two, while Arbroath sealed a much-needed win with a 3-0 victory over bottom-of-the-table Forfar.

Elsewhere, a solitary goal from Scott McBride was enough for East Fife to see off Airdrie, while Brechin were held at home by Stranraer in a 1-1 draw.

Results in full: Arbroath 3-0 Forfar; Brechin 1-1 Stranraer; Dunfermline 5-1 Ayr United; East Fife 1-0 Airdrie; Rangers 8-0 Stenhousemuir
