Report: Kris Boyd set for Kilmarnock return

Kris Boyd reportedly agrees to join Kilmarnock for the third time in his career.

Rangers forward Kris Boyd will reportedly rejoin Kilmarnock after agreeing a two-year deal.

The former Scotland international left his second stint at Rugby Park at the end of the 2013-14 campaign to sign for the Gers, but left the Ibrox club following their failure to earn promotion to the Scottish Premiership.

According to STV, Boyd has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, with the option for a further 12 months.

The 31-year-old would become Gary Locke's fourth signing of the summer after bringing Scott Robinson, Kallum Higginbotham and Jamie MacDonald to Rugby Park.

Kilmarnock finished 10th in the Premiership last season.
