Reading confirm that Pavel Pogrebnyak will move to the Madejski Stadium once he has been granted a work permit.

Pavel Pogrebnyak has agreed personal terms with Reading and is expected to complete a move within the next week.

The Russian, who spent the latter half of last season on loan at Fulham, is awaiting a work permit after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal, worth around £65,000 per week.

The 28-year-old become Reading's second signing this week following the arrival of Danny Guthrie.

"Reading football club has agreed terms with Pavel Pogrebnyak to join the club," read a statement on the club's official website.

"The player has already completed a medical and the deal is now only subject to the player obtaining a UK work permit.

"Reading football club anticipate completing the signing within the next seven days."

Pogrebnyak scored six goals in 12 appearances for the Cottagers last season.
