Jay Tabb has revealed that he is keen on turning his loan stint at Ipswich Town into a permanent switch.
The 29-year-old joined the Tractor Boys on a temporary basis from Premier League side Reading in March until the end of the current campaign.
However, despite the fact that the Reading management have indicated that they would like to keep hold of him, Tabb has insisted that the time is right for him to leave the Berkshire-based outfit.
"Nigel Adkins has spoken to me and Reading are watching me, but as far as I am concerned, now is the time to move on," the East Anglian Daily Times quotes him as saying.
"I have enjoyed it at Reading but I want a fresh challenge and Ipswich is a club that I would like to play for.
"[Mick McCarthy] mentioned to me about a month ago that he would like to keep me on a permanent deal and hopefully that is still the case."
Tabb joined Reading from Coventry City back in 2009.
