Pepe returns to the Real Madrid squad for Wednesday's Champions League last-16 first leg against Schalke 04.

Portuguese centre-back Pepe has returned to the Real Madrid squad for Wednesday's Champions League last-16 first leg against Schalke 04.

The defender has been out of action since last month with a rib problem, but has now fully recovered to take his place in the travelling party.

January signing Lucas Silva has also been included, in addition to young defender Derik Osede.

However, Sergio Ramos, Fabio Coentrao, Sami Khedira, Luka Modric and James Rodriguez are still out of action through injury.
