Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has blasted the crowd incident that saw Cristiano Ronaldo struck by a lighter in their Copa del Rey semi-final with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
Ronaldo, who scored twice in the 2-0 win at the Calderon, was hit by a lighter thrown from the crowd while leaving the field at the half-time interval.
"There is always someone that tries to smear the image of a club like Atletico Madrid and it doesn't reflect how the majority of their fans are," Casillas told the club's official website.
"I think the consequences could be serious, because it could have hurt a player."
Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos has also condemned the incident.
