Real Madrid defender Nacho has said that the club's players are working on the basis that Santiago Solari will be in charge of the first team for the remainder of the season.
Solari has been appointed Madrid head coach on an interim basis following the sacking of Julen Lopetegui.
The former midfielder's first match in charge of Los Blancos brought a 4-0 win over Melilla in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night, and Nacho has insisted that the entire dressing room is behind Solari.
"We will work as if [Solari] is here for the full season. He is from here; he is experienced; he has won titles with Madrid. We, the players, don't have to make these decisions and we will see what happens but he's a great coach," Nacho told beIN Sports.
"The squad was with Lopetegui, but we didn't have any luck. Now we have a new coach, who is excited, and we will fight to the death for him, too."
Madrid will look to return to winning ways in La Liga when they face Real Valladolid this weekend.
