Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has reacted angrily to suggestions that he is to blame for Luka Modric's latest injury.
On Monday, head of the medical services for the Croatian national team, Boris Nemec, claimed that Modric's knee problem was due to mis-management from Ancelotti.
However, the Italian has claimed that Nemec "lives in a different world" and insisted that the midfielder's ligament damage was nothing to do with a previous problem.
"It seemed like he lives in a different world. [Modric] was injured playing for his club. He could have rested in Norway but he played 90 minutes when the game was already won. This injury was from contact with another player and you can't do anything about that," Ancelotti has been quoted by AS.
Modric is facing six weeks on the sidelines.
