Xabi Alonso bemoans Real Madrid injuries

Real Madrid midfielder Xabio Alonso describes the team's latest injury woes as "very bad".

Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso has described the squad's recent injury crisis as "very bad".

Marcelo, Fabio Coentrao and Alvaro Arbeloa have all been ruled out for Los Blancos in the past week, while Sami Khedira and Gonzalo Higuain are also struggling.

"It is very bad. It is amazing that in just seven days three players have fallen," Alonso told reporters.

"But I am sure that [Jose Mourinho] is already working on it, it's not my job to speculate on [possible solutions]."

Madrid return to La Liga action on Saturday when they host Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabeu.
