Carlo Ancelotti: Iker Casillas back in "three or four days"

Carlo Ancelotti reveals that Iker Casillas has avoided serious injury in the 6-1 victory over Galatasaray and he should be back by the end of the week.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Iker Casillas has not sustained any major damage and should be back in "three or four" days.

The 32-year-old was handed a first start in a competitive fixture since January for the trip to Galatasaray in the Champions League, which resulted in a 6-1 victory for the Spanish giants.

However, Casillas's return to action lasted only 14 minutes after a collision with teammate Sergio Ramos forced the Spain captain off with what appeared to be a rib injury.

"It was a good game," the Italian coach told reporters. "It was a fantastic result. We suffered a little bit in the first half.

"Iker? Hopefully Iker will be back with us in three or four days."

Cristiano Ronaldo netted a hat-trick in the victory over the Turkish giants, with Isco and Karim Benzema also getting in on the act in Istanbul.

The Blancos, who are in search of their 10th Champions League title, resume their quest to reach the landmark by hosting Copenhagen at the Santiago Bernabeu on October 2.
