Sevilla defeat Real Madrid 1-0 after an early goal from Piotr Trochowski.

Sevilla have shocked Real Madrid this evening, defeating Jose Mourinho's giants 1-0.

Sevilla took an early lead through Piotr Trochowski, who hammered home from close range after just two minutes.

The goal gave Sevilla something to fight for and, despite Real dominating the possession and twice going close through Gonzalo Higuain, they held their lead into the break.

In the second half Alvaro Negredo somehow managed to miss the target after 54 minutes, which would have asked a lot of Real to come back from two down.

On 61 minutes Real missed a golden chance of their own, with Sergio Ramos somehow managing to head over from underneath the crossbar.

The game opened up as Real pressed for an equaliser, but the visitors could not create many clear-cut chances and were running out of ideas.

Cristiano Ronaldo looked to be through on 81 minutes but Navarro pulled off a fantastic challenge to stop the Portuguese equalising.

Sevilla saw out the game to take a surprise 1-0 win.
