Sevilla are leading Real Madrid 1-0 at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan at the break.

It was Sevilla who took a surprising early lead when Piotr Trochowski fired home from close range in the second minute.

Real twice came close through Gonzalo Higuain, but the Argentine missed the target on both 16 and 21 minutes.

Despite Madrid dominating the possession, Sevilla were holding their shape well and the visitors were struggling to create real chances.

Sevilla continued to crowd out the Real attackers and the hosts held on for the 1-0 lead.
