Corinthians have insisted that there is no truth in speculation linking them with an attempted summer move for Real Madrid midfielder Kaka.
The 31-year-old has failed to live up to the hype that saw Los Blancos part with £56m to sign him from AC Milan in 2009.
Reports in Spain have claimed that Corinthians are hoping to bring Kaka back to his native country, but the Brazilian outfit's director Duilio Monteiro Alves has denied any interest in the playmaker.
"There is nothing, it's just speculation," Monteiro Alves told Gazeta Press. "I don't know where that story came from, but it didn't start at Corinthians.
"He is an excellent player, no doubt about that, but we haven't even talked about him."
Kaka has won one La Liga title, one Copa del Rey and one Supercopa de Espana since moving to Madrid.
