Real Salt Lake extended their lead at the top of the MLS Western Conference with a 2-0 win over Seattle Sounders.
The hosts started on the front foot and could have taken the lead in the 12th minute when Khari Stephenson beat his man on the left and crossed for Robbie Findley, but the striker just couldn't reach the ball to head home.
Salt Lake did take the lead in the 40th minute when Javier Morales's free kick was blocked into the path of Kyle Beckerman, who smashed a volley into the roof of the net from a tight angle.
The home side doubled their lead immediately after the break when Morales played Findley in and his shot was saved by Michael Gspurning, but Alvaro Saborio collected the rebound and found Findley again, who fired the ball into the net.
Salt Lake nearly added a third when Saborio latched onto Morales's cross into the penalty area and turned it goalwards, but the keeper got down low to his left to make the save.
Obafemi Martins missed the chance to get a goal back for Seattle as he ran onto a through-ball over the top of the Real defence and rounded Nick Rimando, but he couldn't hit the target as Salt Lake coasted to victory.
