Rudi Garcia wants strong start from Roma

Rudi Garcia says that Roma must "dive straight into the season" after being handed a tough start to their new Serie A campaign.

Roma manager Rudi Garcia has said that his team must get off to a winning start to the new season.

The Giallorossi will be looking to improve upon their second-place finish during the last Serie A campaign and win their first league title in 15 years.

"Right from the start line we must be ready to dive straight into the season," Football Italia quotes Garcia as saying.

"In the first round we'll face Hellas Verona, then immediately host Juventus. We must make sure we are ready for games like this, rapidly getting new players integrated into the squad.

"When we change, it is important to keep in mind the time it takes to adapt. I saw that in the final rounds some other intriguing games await us."

Roma finished 17 points behind champions Juventus last season.
