Steve Evans: 'We didn't take chances'

Rotherham United boss Steve Evans admits his side were not at their best and didn't take their chances in today's 2-2 draw with Crawley Town.

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has said that he was happy to settle for a point after admitting that his side were not at their best and didn't take their chances in today's 2-2 draw with Crawley Town.

The hosts came from behind twice to rescue a point at the New York Stadium, with Kieran Agard's stoppage-time goal ensuring that Evans' men retained their place in the League One playoff slots.

"I was delighted we got a point," Evans told the club's official website.

"I think with the first 15-20 minutes it looks as though there will be a few goals to us and we're going to run over them, but we didn't take our chances, and if that's the case there's a good chance you're going to get hit on the counter-attack which we did."

The Millers currently sit in fifth place in the League One table.
