Rotherham United boss Steve Evans "not frightened" of being sacked

Steve Evans insists that he has the full backing of his chairman to remain boss of Rotherham United, despite the club's slow start to the Championship season.

Steve Evans has insisted that he has no fears over his future as Rotherham United manager.

The Millers find themselves bottom of the Championship table after taking just one point from the first 15 on offer this term.

Despite his side's winless start, Evans has brushed aside suggestions that he is on the brink of being replaced in the New York Stadium hot seat.

"I'm not frightened of the sack, that's the last thing I'm frightened of," he told BBC Sport. "I work with my chairman every day.

"After the Fulham match he said that I would be the manager of Rotherham United for as long as I want to be as long as I turn up with the same determination."

Rotherham, who have lost each of their last three fixtures in all competitions, return to action next Saturday when they take on Charlton Athletic.
