Bournemouth 'move for ex-Leeds United winger Max Gradel'

Bournemouth make a £3.6m offer for Saint-Etienne winger Max Gradel, according to a report.

Bournemouth have reportedly made a bid for ex-Leeds United winger Max Gradel as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the Premier League season.

The Ivory Coast international spent one season with the Cherries during the 2007-08 campaign, at the end of which the South Coast club were relegated from League One.

According to Footmercato, Bournemouth have offered £3.6m to Saint-Etienne for the 27-year-old, who has previously played for Leicester City and Leeds United.

It is reported that Les Verts are holding out for a bigger fee, but the Cherries are keen on Gradel, who is said to want a new challenge away from the Ligue 1 club.

Last year, Gradel put pen to paper on a new contract with Saint-Etienne, keeping him at AS until 2017.
