Scunthorpe United boss Mark Robins satisfied with point against Bradford City

Scunthorpe United manager Mark Robins insists that his side could have defeated Bradford City following their draw in League One.

Scunthorpe United manager Mark Robins has said that he was satisfied with his side's performance following their 1-1 draw against Bradford City in League One.

The Iron boss insisted that his team played well during the first half and were unlucky not to go on and win the match.

"I was almost pleased," PA quotes Robins as saying. "I thought we played okay - first half we looked good and we did okay in the second, but it just wasn't to be.

"It was a really well-taken goal by Gary [McSheffrey]. I was pleased with Hakeeb [Adelkaun] and his contribution to the opening goal. We've been unlucky and we just couldn't get that second goal."

The result puts Scunthorpe in good stead to avoid relegation to League Two, leaving them in 16th place in the table with two matches left to play.
