Preview: Sheffield Wednesday vs. Reading

Sports Mole looks ahead to the Championship clash between Reading and Sheffield Wednesday at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.

Reading will be hoping for their fourth win in a row when they travel to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship at the weekend.

The Royals edged out Millwall in a five-goal thriller at the Madejski Stadium earlier this week, moving them up to sixth in the table.

Nigel Adkins will still be without Anton Ferdinand, who is yet to make his debut for the club, after he suffered a hamstring injury in training last week.

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday picked up just their second win in their last six matches in the league with a 2-0 victory over Birmingham City during the week, leaving them just two places behind Reading in the table.

Royston Drenthe could be in line for a move into the starting lineup after playing almost 30 minutes at St Andrew's, replacing Giles Coke midway through the second half.

The Owls will still be without Dejan Kelhar, who has a knee ligament injury, but have not reported any fresh issues following their midweek match.

Sheffield Wednesday won both of their matches against Reading last season.
