Preview: Birmingham City vs. Sheffield Wednesday

Sports Mole previews Sheffield Wednesday's visit to Birmingham City in the Championship on Tuesday.

Birmingham City will be seeking their first win in five outings when they host Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

Lee Clark's side were held to a draw by Leeds United at the weekend, despite having led for much of the match, and have now drawn three of their last four matches.

The home side may be without on-loan defender Grant Hall, after he was forced off at half time on Saturday with a groin injury.

Birmingham have no other new injury concerns, but continue to be without defender Gavin Gunning, who suffered a cruciate ligament injury last month.

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday will be hoping to continue their strong start to the season, with just one defeat from their first six outings leaving them in the top half of the table ahead of their trip to St Andrews.

Deadline-day signing Royston Drenthe could come into the starting lineup for the Owls, having featured for just the final 30 minutes in the team's goalless draw with Bolton Wanderers at the weekend.

The visitors have reported no new injuries, with only long-term absentee Dejan Kelhar missing with a knee ligament problem.

In the two Championship meetings between these two clubs last season, the hosts ran out 4-1 winners on both occasions.
