Gareth Bale's hamstring injury may only keep him out of action for one match.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that Gareth Bale could only miss one match with a hamstring injury.

Reports had claimed that the Welsh international could face a three-week spell on the sidelines with the complaint that he picked up against Fulham at the weekend.

However, Villas-Boas believes that he could have the 23-year-old available for selection against Swansea City on Sunday, December 16.

"He will not make Everton but could be back for next weekend. But I have other options and I have excellent players," said the Portuguese coach.

Bale has scored seven goals in all competitions so far this season.
