Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has refused to rule out interest in Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale, but insists that he would not pay £33m for him.
The Wales international has been linked with a switch to the Nou Camp, with reports suggesting that the Primera Liga champions are willing to pay up to £35m for the winger.
"I do not know if Bale interests us," Rosell told Al Jazeera. "If I did, I would not say, because his price would go up. [Tottenham] would not ask for £33m, but £42m.
"In any case, even if we wanted him, we would never pay £33m for him."
The 22-year-old was linked to a move to Italian outfit Inter Milan during the summer.
