Nabil Bentaleb: 'We can bounce back against Leicester City'

Nabil Bentaleb insists that Tottenham Hotspur can respond to disappointment at Old Trafford when they host Leicester City this weekend.

Nabil Bentaleb has insisted that Tottenham Hotspur will produce a response to Sunday's defeat to Manchester United this weekend.

Spurs welcome relegation-threatened Leicester City to White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon, and Bentaleb is confident of paying the fans back with an improved performance.

"We've played well recently and it's a shame - and we have to tell the truth - we just didn't turn up and the game was over before we started," the Algerian told the club's website.

"I feel really bad about the game, especially for the fans and I can tell them that we will come back stronger and show a different face when we play Leicester at home.

"We have to stay strong now, take it as a lesson and work even harder in training to make sure it doesn't happen again."

Spurs are currently seventh, six points behind fourth-placed United in the battle for a Champions League spot.
