Michael Dawson: 'Everton clash is massive'

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson says that his team must win their Premier League clash against Everton on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has said that his team must win their Premier League match with Everton on Sunday.

Everton are fifth in the table, sitting just one point above Spurs, and Dawson has stressed the importance of claiming three points over their rivals in the race for a Champions League spot.

"It's a massive game," he told the club's official website. "Obviously drawing at Hull last week was a disappointment. Even though it was good to come back from 1-0 down, it was a shame we couldn't go on to win the game.

"Everton are a point ahead, so it's a game we need to win, against a team fighting for a place in the top four.

"If we can win against Everton, it will put us in a good position but there is plenty of football still to be played."

Dawson has started all 24 of Tottenham's Premier League games this season.
