Eric Dier has admitted that his first target with Tottenham Hotspur is to adapt to the challenges of playing in the Premier League.
The England Under-21 international progressed through the ranks at Sporting Lisbon after moving to Portugal with his family when he was a child, and he is optimistic that he can quickly make an impact at White Hart Lane.
"I've known about them since I was young and always enjoyed the way they play, the attacking football and coming from Portugal, that will suit me," Dier told members of the media.
"This season I just want to adapt quickly to the Premier League and just do the best I can, try my hardest and have a good first season here.
"I'm really happy to be here and I want to try to impress the manager, keep the fans happy and try to do my stuff on the pitch, try to do as well as possible."
Dier is believed to have cost Spurs around £4m.
