Christian Eriksen: 'Tottenham Hotspur full of confidence'

Christian Eriksen insists that confidence is high in the Tottenham Hotspur squad thanks to a nine-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.

Christian Eriksen has claimed that confidence is high in the Tottenham Hotspur squad after they extended their unbeaten Premier League run at the weekend.

Harry Kane stole the show with a hat-trick as Spurs thrashed Bournemouth 5-1 on Sunday to make it nine games unbeaten in the league.

The win came just three days after a disappointing 2-1 loss to Anderlecht in the Europa League, and Eriksen admits that it was important to produce a response.

"It was really important to win after the result on Thursday," the Danish playmaker told the club's website.

"We didn't start the game that well because they scored with their first chance, but we know we can fight back and luckily we did that.

"I'm feeling really good and confident at the moment but that goes for all the team – we're playing with confidence and we want to play forward."

Spurs will look to continue their good run against Aston Villa on Monday night.
