Glenn Hoddle: 'Emmanuel Adebayor like a new player'

Tottenham Hotspur legend Glenn Hoddle says that Emmanuel Adebayor has been like a new player since returning to his side's first team.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Glenn Hoddle has said that Emmanuel Adebayor has been like a new player since returning to the first team.

The Togolese striker has been handed a new lease of life under current Spurs coach Tim Sherwood, with the forward scoring vital goals in recent games for his club.

"He has been important, Sherwood put him into the side when he took over and he was like a new player," Hoddle told Sky Sports News ahead of Tottenham's clash with Chelsea.

"He's got all the ability in the world, when the ball is right he can score all sorts of goals."

Spurs currently occupy fifth position in the Premier League table.
