Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has said that Tottenham Hotspur are the best team that he has faced this season.
The Cherries fell to a 3-0 defeat at White Hart Lane this afternoon having also succumbed to a 5-1 loss at Dean Court in October's reverse fixture.
Howe acknowledged that his side had not been at their best in either game, but admitted that he is using Spurs as an example for the level he hopes Bournemouth will reach one day.
"We didn't play well today. They moved the ball so well - we didn't execute our gameplan at all - so we have to give them credit," Howe told reporters.
"In the two games they've been the best team we've played this season. They've been excellent against us. It hasn't helped we haven't hit our levels in either game but there's a lot we can take from them.
"They work so hard and have such quality with the ball. We aspire to be like them one day."
Despite the defeat, Bournemouth still sit 12 points clear of the relegation zone with seven games of the season remaining.
