Harry Kane: 'Sending off helped Tottenham Hotspur'

Harry Kane says that the sending off of Gaston Ramirez was pivotal as Tottenham Hotspur secured a 2-1 win against Hull City.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has said that the sending off of Gaston Ramirez in Sunday's match against Hull City was the turning point as they secured a 2-1 win.

Jake Livermore had opened the scoring for Hull before Ramirez was sent off for kicking out at Jan Vertonghen.

Kane tapped in an equaliser following Christian Eriksen's shot and the Dane eventually won it with a late strike as Spurs moved up to 10th in the league.

After the game, Kane told the BBC: "We were told to move ball quicker and make game of it. They were winning all the second balls.

"In the second half we changed it. The man sent off helped.

"I knew Christian Eriksen would hit the target [with the free-kick] and it came right for me."

Next up for Tottenham is a Europa League clash against Partizan.
