Ledley King could play in his first midweek game for more than a year when Tottenham take on Chelsea in the Premier League tomorrow (Thursday).

The 31-year-old suffers from a chronic knee problem, meaning that his training and playing schedule is limited.

This season he has played only at the weekend and a Monday night win over Aston Villa.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is understood to be speaking to King today to assess his availability.

Tottenham are currently third in the Premier League with 34 points from 15 games.
