Reading boss Brian McDermott is left feeling frustrated after they let a one-goal lead over Spurs slip, eventually losing 3-1.

Reading manager Brian McDermott has admitted to being frustrated by his side's 3-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon.

The Royals took a shock lead at White Hart Lane courtesy of Pavel Pogrebnyak's strike, but were only ahead for six minutes as Spurs equalised through Michael Dawson.

McDermott believes that his side holding onto the 1-0 lead until half time would have made for a better game, but acknowledged that they were up against a formidable outfit.

"It was frustrating to concede an equaliser straight after scoring and if we could have had it at 1-0 at half time then it would've been a really good game," said McDermott.

"This is a really good Tottenham side that Andre has built here and not many people will come away from here taking points."

The result means that Reading still sit 19th in the Premier League table, five points from safety.
