Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has stressed the importance of not piling too much pressure on the young shoulders of striker Harry Kane.
Kane got his 16th and 17th goals of the season during Tottenham's victory over Chelsea today, putting in a man-of-the-match display to help his side to a memorable 5-3 win at White Hart Lane.
Talk of a senior international call-up has intensified due to his recent form, but Pochettino distanced himself from commenting on the potential of Roy Hodgson naming him in the next England squad.
"We need to be careful with him. He's still young, but it's impossible to hide him because of his performances," Pochettino told reporters.
"It's not my decision [whether he gets called up]. We try to help him improve every day and if the national team manager believes in him and wants to give him the opportunity... it's not my decision."
Kane also got an assist during the victorious London derby, helping his side climb up to fifth in the Premier League table.
