Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has said that Christian Eriksen can become a club legend, like former players Paul Gascoigne and Glenn Hoddle.
Eriksen has been in good form in recent weeks and scored the winner as Spurs beat Swansea City last Sunday, leading his teammate to predict a bright future and compare him to recent Spurs players Luka Modric and Rafael van der Vaart.
Vertonghen told reporters: "I know Luka and Rafael from my time. And I know the reputation of Hoddle and Gascoigne. I think Christian can be one of the best players of Spurs.
"As a playmaker he can be one of the best in the Premier League. I have played with him since he was 16, 17 for six years now. I think he is improving in every season. He is definitely more dominant."
Vertonghen is credited as one of the factors in bringing Eriksen to White Hart Lane, as the pair knew each other from their time at Ajax.
Spurs' next game is their home Premier League fixture with Burnley on Saturday.
