Report: Tottenham Hotspur monitor Giorginio Wijnaldum

A report claims that Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Newcastle United midfielder Giorginio Wijnaldum at the end of the current season.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a summer move for Newcastle United's Giorginio Wijnaldum.

The Netherlands international joined Newcastle from PSV Eindhoven last summer and has scored nine Premier League goals this season.

Newcastle currently sit 19th in the Premier League table on 24 points, however, and a number of players are expected to depart if the Magpies cannot survive the drop this season.

According to the Brentwood Gazette, Spurs will move for the midfielder if Newcastle are relegated, while West Ham United are also said to be interested in the 25-year-old.

Newcastle parted with £14.5m to sign the Dutch midfielder from PSV.
