Report: Tottenham Hotspur to launch fresh bid for West Brom's Saido Berahino

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly launch an £18m bid for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino within the next 48 hours.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning to launch a renewed bid for West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino.

The North London outfit tried to sign the England Under-21 international last summer, reportedly making three bids, one of which was in the region of £22m.

West Brom rejected Spurs' advances, though, and Berahino himself hit out at chairman Jeremy Peace on Twitter for not allowing him to leave The Hawthorns.

Now, according to The Mirror, Spurs are poised to table an £18m bid for the forward within the next 48 hours.

Meanwhile, Andros Townsend is on the verge of leaving Tottenham for Newcastle United after the two clubs agreed a £12m fee on Tuesday.
