Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has reportedly registered an interest in signing Porto winger Christian Atsu.
The 20-year-old joined the Portuguese club during Villas-Boas's stint in charge at the Estadio do Dragao.
Having earned a number of plaudits for his performances while on loan with Rio Ave last season, several European clubs have been linked with a move for the Ghanaian.
Villas-Boas is hoping that his previous working relationship with Atsu will help convince the attacker to sign on at White Hart Lane, according to Sky Sports News.
Merseyside duo Liverpool and Everton are thought to be monitoring the situation closely.
