Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has insisted that goalkeeper Jack Butland will only spend time away from the Britannia Stadium at the "right club".
Hughes preferred Thomas Sorensen to Butland for the club's Capital One Cup clash with Walsall, and the former Queens Park Rangers boss has admitted that he would like the England international to leave the club on a temporary basis.
The 49-year-old told reporters: "Ideally we would like to get Jack Butland out on loan to help his development. It has to be to the right club, though."
West Bromwich Albion have been linked with a move for the 20-year-old.
