New Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio has said that he will work "24 hours a day" to keep the club in the Premier League.
Di Canio was appointed as the Black Cats boss on Sunday, and the Italian has said that he will give everything to make sure the club stay in the division.
"I will work hard and dedicate completely for this cause. I will work 24 hours a day," he told reporters.
"I am at the beginning of my career. One day we will discover that I am either a fantastic, good or normal manager."
The former Swindon Town boss took over from Martin O'Neill, who was sacked on Saturday evening.
