Sunderland's Younes Kaboul confident ahead of Arsenal clash

Sunderland defender Younes Kaboul believes that his side are capable of earning a positive result in their Premier League clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Sunderland defender Younes Kaboul has admitted that his side will travel to face Arsenal in a confident mood following their recent run of good form in the Premier League.

The Black Cats have won back-to-back matches against Crystal Palace and Stoke City in the top flight to move out of the relegation zone.

Kaboul has conceded that he and his teammates will face a stern test against the Gunners, but is upbeat that their resilience at the back may be enough to secure a positive result.

He told the club's official website: "Hopefully we can get some results out of what is a testing run of games. It is always nice to play big games against teams like Arsenal but you have to be ready for them.

"Arsenal have been a very good team for the past 10 to 15 years and it is a tough place to go, but I think we have a chance and we have a good record in the past few years so we're looking to continue that.

"We're delighted with our recent results because it has been hard for us, but now we need to carry on this form and pick up more wins and more clean sheets. The confidence is high and the feeling is good but like I said we need to keep going and take each game as a cup final, because now we're out of the bottom three we want to push up the table."

Sunderland are 17th in the Premier League ahead of their clash against Arsenal tomorrow.
