Michael Laudrup bemoans missed chances

Michael Laudrup rues Swansea City's failure to convert their chances against Southampton.

Michael Laudrup has insisted that his Swansea City side created enough chances to take all three points from their trip to Southampton earlier today.

The Swans lost 2-0 to their hosts, despite having 17 attempts at goal.

"We performed very well. Apart from the first 15 minutes we dominated the game and had lots of chances. They got a good goal but the whole of the second half was all about us. We still need too many chances to score. After the St Gallen game, I said they deserved a little more. Today, I think we deserved a little more," he told BBC Sport.

"In some games, we need to be more clinical in the last third. We create the chances but we need to take more of them. On the other hand, we were clinical on Thursday in Europe. It's just in some games, not all, where we need to be a little more clinical. They had three chances in the game and scored two goals."

Next up for Laudrup's team is a home clash with Sunderland after the international break.
