Swansea City announce the appointment of Michael Laudrup, who has penned a two year deal at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea City have confirmed that Michael Laudrup is officially the new manager at the Liberty Stadium.

News emerged this morning claiming that the 48-year-old had agreed a deal with the Welsh outfit to become Brendan Rodgers's successor.

The former Championship outfit have now announced that the ex-Denmark international will take the club forward for the next two years after finalising the contract at noon today.

Laudrup has had an illustrious career during his playing days, where he lined up for both Real Madrid and Barcelona as well as enjoying stints at Ajax and Juventus.

During his time in management, the former midfielder took charge of Spartak Moscow for one year and more recently Mallorca.
