Swansea City 'working day and night' to bring in new signings

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins insists that the club are working hard to bring in new players during the summer transfer window.

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has insisted that the club are "working day and night" to bring new players into the Liberty Stadium.

Recent weeks have been marred by reports that the board have fallen out with manager Michael Laudrup and his agent over their transfer policy.

Despite the rumours, Jenkins has insisted that things are in motion for the club to welcome more new arrivals this summer.

"We are working day and night and there is a lot going on behind the scenes," the South Wales Evening Post quotes Jenkins as saying. "There are a lot of options and a lot of discussions have taken place.

"We have talked to many clubs, and in some cases we have put certain bids in for certain players. But some clubs prefer to wait to see what other offers come in."

Laudrup reiterated recently that he intends to stay at the Premier League outfit, despite reported concerns over his position at the club.
