Sports Mole's Saturday League One round-up

Tranmere Rovers move seven points clear of Stevenage at the top of the League One table on a pulsating afternoon of action.

Tranmere Rovers recovered from 2-0 down to record a 3-2 win over Yeovil Town on Saturday and consequently move seven points clear of Stevenage at the top of the League One table.

Goals from Paddy Madden and Sam Foley moved the away side into a two-goal lead, but strikes from James Wallace, Jake Cassidy and Danny Holmes continued the home side's unbeaten start.

Stevenage missed the chance to close the gap as they lost away to Colchester United, while a last-minute strike from Matt Smith rescued a point for Oldham Athletic away at third-placed Sheffield United.

There were also wins for promotion chasers Notts County and Crawley Town, but Swindon Town had to settle for a point in a home draw against Coventry City.

Portsmouth also moved into the top half of the table with a 2-0 win over struggling Crewe Alexandra, but Bury remain rooted to the bottom of the table following defeat at Crawley.

Hartlepool United also missed the chance to move onto 10 points as they conceded a late leveller against Doncaster Rovers, but Scunthorpe United and Brentford shared the points in a 1-1 draw.
