Marcus Rashford 'set for lucrative new Manchester United deal'

Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford is reportedly in line for a lucrative new deal at Old Trafford following his prolific start to the 2020-21 campaign.

The 23-year-old has been in scintillating form for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side this season and boasts 12 goals and five assists in all competitions for the Red Devils.

Rashford has become renowned for his work off the pitch as much as he has on it this season, and the England international has reportedly attracted interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks.

According to The Mirror, United are desperate to tie Rashford down to a new deal before next summer's Euros, with interest in the forward expected to increase should he produce the goods for England.

Rashford is currently under contract at Old Trafford until 2023 with the option of a further year, and the United man can supposedly look forward to a significant pay rise on the £200k per week he currently pockets with the Red Devils.

Rashford's teammate Bruno Fernandes is another player who United are said to be working on a new contract for as well.

Barcelona 'want to sell Philippe Coutinho in January'

Barcelona are reportedly keen to sell Philippe Coutinho during the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old returned to Camp Nou over the summer after a successful loan spell at Bayern Munich and has been a regular for Ronald Koeman's side this season, making 11 appearances in all competitions.

The Brazil international has contributed three goals and two assists in all competitions, although he has largely struggled to show his best form for the Catalan giants.

According to Diario ARA, Barca are keen to move the South American on during the winter transfer window in order to trim the wage budget as the club continue to deal with the financial issues caused by the coronavirus outbreak earlier this year.

The report claims that Coutinho is one of the highest-paid players in the squad but his performances have not justified the outlay.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur were all credited with an interest in the former Liverpool playmaker over the summer.
