Valencia defender Jose Luis Gaya has said that the players are "delighted" that Gary Neville is the club's new head coach.
The former Manchester United and England full-back has taken charge of the Spanish side until the end of the current season, where he will work alongside brother Phil Neville.
The 40-year-old, who has been part of England boss Roy Hodgson's coaching team for the past three years, will begin work at the Mestalla Stadium on Sunday.
"We've already been told a little about his ideas but there's still a few days to go before he gets here," Sky Sports News quotes Gaya as saying.
"We've been told he's going to be close to the players and try to get the best performance from everyone. We're delighted."
Neville, who is making his first foray into management, will remain part of the England coaching staff until the end of next summer's European Championships.
