Former Wales defender Danny Gabbidon has claimed that Gareth Bale's commitment to the national team is an inspiration to his Dragons teammates.
The Real Madrid winger has notched up six goals and two assists in Euro 2016 qualifying to see his side lead Group B and remain unbeaten.
Gabbidon, who now plays for Welsh lower league side Panteg, told BBC Sport: "To be fair to Gareth Bale from day one his attitude towards the national team has been 100%.
"I think he realised we had a good opportunity of doing something and he has brought his 'A' game to every single match in qualifying.
"To have someone like that on your team, not only does it lift the players around him, opposition players look at him as well and say 'Oh my goodness, it's Gareth Bale. How am I going to stop him?'"
Wales can secure qualification to a first major tournament since 1958 with victory over Israel in Cardiff on Sunday.
