Watford make £10m bid for Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse?

Watford are reportedly interested in signing Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse.

Watford have reportedly made a £10m bid for Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse.

The 23-year-old began his youth career at Southampton in 2003 and has since gone on to make 205 first-team appearances for the club, scoring 12 goals.

According to The Sun, Hornets manager Javi Gracia is eager to bolster his midfield before the transfer window closes on Thursday.

Gracia is reportedly waiting to see if Saints manager Mark Hughes is willing to sell the Englishman, who started the majority of their Premier League fixtures last season.

Watford have already made six additions to their squad this summer, including winger Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona and goalkeeper Ben Foster from West Bromwich Albion.
